Founder of the Lineage
Creator of Yee Jong Kune Do and Yee Jong Pai
Allen J. Chinn is a Seattle-born martial artist and the creator of Yee Jong Kune Do and Yee Jong Pai, the foundation of the curriculum taught at Golden Steel Athletic Association. Beginning his training in 1964 under his father, James Chinn, he developed early expertise in Choy Li Fut and went on to synthesize a lifetime of study into a unique blend of traditional Chinese martial arts and modern combat principles.
Through decades of teaching, research, and refinement, Chinn established a comprehensive system that includes the neoclassical style Baat Ying Baat Faat, Eight Animals Eight Methods, and the modern combat division Yein Dhoy Ghin Suk. His work emphasizes adaptability, conceptual understanding, and practical skill.
Today, Allen Chinn is recognized as the founder and grandmaster of the Yee Jong Pai family of martial arts, with his teachings carried forward by generations of students in Seattle and beyond.
